The Big Chop! Three Easy Styles For Straight Across Bangs

I have been dying to cut my bangs straight across for months now, but I never had the courage to go take action on a new change. Up until about six months ago, I had been growing my hair out and gradually lightening it right in time for Brandon and I's wedding in June. Now that we've been married for five months (WHAT?!) I thought it would be the perfect time to take the step and finally rock a new style in time for the holidays! Of course with a new style comes new up keep. I wanted to share three different ways I've been enjoying wearing my hair with straight across bangs, as well as some helpful products you'll need to go along in achieving each one.

A go to style that's always been one of my favorites is curls! I'm a huge fan of effortless looking waves. I use a 32MM curling iron I purchased from TJ max to achieve them. You'll most likely find me wearing these bouncy curls often. Just don't forget to hairspray!
For those days my hair is looking extra frizzy or I just want to accessorize a simple outfit, a oversize black fedora is the way to go! This is an accessory I can't live without. I got mine from Forever 21. I find myself loving it even more now that I have bangs. I think it complements every look and makes your personality shine.
My third and final style is recommendation to try is a bow. This is another way to dress up your hair with bangs and focus on  your face framing fringe.

To achieve these styles you're going to need at least three items. A curling wand or hair curler, a comb, and of course hairspray! I prefer aussie or bedhead because I've been using both since my high school days. Like I mentioned before, this curler is everything! It gives the most beautiful, big, natural looking waves. The curls will last up to three days if I wanted them to! As a reference, my hair is about six inches down past my collarbone. For those of you will slightly shorter hair, I would go for a wand a bit smaller in thickness. It will give you the same effect, without shrinking your hair as much.

If you've always wanted to give a new style a try, I'm here to tell you GO FOR IT! Never be afraid to venture out and have fun. Life is full of crazy moments and busy schedules. You always want to stay present in those times and true to yourself every step of the way.
